I find myself daydreaming all the time. Constantly. Every single day. While I’m at work. While I’m on the loo. While I’m driving. While I’m in the shower. Before I go to bed.
I don’t daydream about fantastical things. I daydream about situations I could potentially be in. I daydream about the plans I have later in the evening. I daydream about how my life is and where it could go from its current state.
When I lay down to go to sleep, I practice what is called ‘lucid dreaming’. A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that they are dreaming while the dream is in progress. Basically, I set up my dreams. I choose what I want to dream about. I’ve been able to do this since I was very young. If I wake up from a dream, I just pick up where I left off the following night.
I guess, I’m just telling you this because I have faith in last night’s lucid dream. Somethings in life are worth dreaming for because they have a chance of actually materializing.
If you want something, go after it.
